What’s a Gubbin you say? Well they first started being a way to have fun and use up my rod ‘shorts’ (ends of glass rods not big enough to use for anything else). The word came from the 15th Century meaning scraps, bits and pieces, etc. Though it was usually to do with fish parts. They became so popular that I now order glass specifically to make them with.
